And it also includes a fix for the Serana bug that makes your Vampire Lord's nuke do way less damage than it should.

It also gives you Lord Harkon's royal armor while in Vampire Lord form (after you unlock the Royal Bloodline perk), for extra badassery, and it adds some extra stuff to Harkon's bedroom so you can kinda make it your home (I treat it as my vacation home lol).

Royal Bloodline - Another great vampire mod that makes the Vampire Lord perk tree way better. I would almost call this an essential mod if you choose to play as a vampire. But maybe you're like me and you don't want to have extra downsides - well the best part about this mod is that you can turn basically any of the changes on/off in the MCM (requires SkyUI), so you get to completely customize the mod to suit your needs. I really wish I had installed this at the beginning of my Dawnguard playthrough, because it makes you feel more powerful being a vampire, but it also adds more downsides. Initial impressions:īetter Vampires - Fucking awesome.
#DAEDRA OF COLDHARBOUR MOD MODS#
Installed some new mods last night and tried them out today. Makes me wonder: is there any way of recording your play in-game? Basically it was a great experience that made me very happy. I think even the design of the fort was designed to facilitate this approach. Other builds might not have struggled with these guys as much as my pure mage did, but I was so happy to persevere & find a creative solution to the situation. So after a few attempts finding ways to isolate them & stay covered while my shout recharges, I finally succeeded in sending a group of what were previously insurmountable foes to hilariously ignominious tumbly deaths. However I really enjoyed the challenge of trying different ways to fight them, even though the combat is a joke that reminds me of nothing so much as LARP-ing.Īfter a lot of deaths - & this may be a slight spoiler if you haven't done this - I discovered the ash guys die immediately if I push them over the walls of the fort with my voice & they fall hard enough. Got sidetracked immediately being asked to check out a ruined fort occupied by a ghostly voice & too many ash monsters for Lydia & me to properly handle in open combat. I've recently arrived in solstheim to find out who's trying to have me killed. Insane amount of work, and the results are so pleasing.īut it was really just a gameplay anecdote I wanted to share. Got a lot quicker by the end too, and given the amount of modification it's achieved, I have to echo the above poster in handing it to STEP project contributors and the modding community in general. Took a few days from a totally standing start, there was a fair bit of head-scratching at first but with some help from Google, YouTube posters such as Gopher and of course this thread, i filled in the blanks in my understanding.

I've gone through STEP and only really just begun adding a few extra bits for myself.
